A decree was introduced by the Costa Rican government in 1988 forbidding the growth of robusta coffee meaning that all of the nations coffee production is strictly arabica beans. This decree was brought in to promote the production of high quality, arabica, coffee and this is exactly what happened, the nation is now known to produce some of the best arabica around!

Harvested from December through to April, our Costa Rican coffee grows at over 1300 metres above sea level. The coffee holds fruity and chocolatey tasting notes, accompanied by a soft aroma and a medium body.
